As Jared and I were looking up movie times on the theaters website Jared said "do you remember the movie phone". UGH! yes, so annoying, listening to a listing of every single movie playing and every single time it played and directions and all sorts of other random info just to get to one movie! Lets not forget, if you got distracted for just one sec and missed your movie there was no rewind you just had to listen to the whole thing again!
Yeah! for no more movie phone!
Over Labor weekend we decided to go on a day trip to check out Laughlin and on the way back drive through Hoover Dam. Once we arrived in Laughlin and got Owen out of the car he saw the river and started yelling pool! pool! We checked out the map and found a beach to go play in the river. We had no idea that only an hour and a half a way from Las Vegas we would find a fun place to play at a beach. Owen, the water baby was so excited we stayed in Laughlin rather than drive around to the Hoover dam. Jared had to keep Owen from being swept away in the river, he has no fear and kept lunging further into the water. There was tons of people boating and ridding wave runners, now Jared is reconsidering his dream of getting 4 wheelers and thinks we should buy wave runners. It turned out to be a really fun day. One little glitch on the way home when Owen decided to shove a raisin so far up his nose he started screaming bloody murder. We tried to remove it but were unsuccessful, luckily he was so tired he fell asleep and we took care of it when we got home. Dr. Jared used the tweezers to extract the raisin, Owen was freaking out during this process but as soon as the raisin was pulled out, he looked at Jared and said "good job".
Well, I did not think I was until I saw one in our house yesterday! When I first spotted the evil little creature I thought it was dead. So, I proceeded to pick it up off the floor with a paper towel then all of a sudden it started running around and arched its back like this one shown in the picture. Very very SCARY! I totally killed it and all the other scorpions better watch their creepy little backs!

Back in Vegas! Back to the heat! At 90 degrees in Utah Owen and I were almost cold and it was so nice. Any way I should be blogging more since I am feeling a lot better and recovered from the little scare baby #2 gave us. I wish we could have seen more of our friends while we were in Utah since many of them left vegas to live there. Hopefully sometime soon we will all get together. Thanks to all who left the nice comments about feeling better soon, i was probably whining a little to much about it . 
Checking out the new pool Nana bought before taking it out for a swim. Also loving Nana's boyfriends motorcycle, the highlight of Owens day.
