Memorial Day

Bless all those who have served, will serve and are serving our country as we speak so that we may be free to do pretty much whatever we want. I know many veterans and service men and women but the one I have thought about the most today is my grandfather who just pasted away. COL Joseph L. Price Jr was a fighter pilot in the Army Air Corps during WWII. During his 31 year, 7 months and one day career, he flew over 300 combat missions in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. I went to his funeral a few weeks ago and the Air Force honored him with a C-130 flyover.

The guy with in the top pic is my Dad who was also a fighter pilot in the Air force, he organized another fly-by of an AT-6 Advanced WWII Trainer which was the final aircraft my granddad flew to earn his wings in the Army Air Corps.

I have better pics but I can't get the scanned pictures to come up! So these will have to do for now.

We spent the better part of our weekend lounging at the pool and going to a couple different bar-b- q's we were invited to. Of course I forgot the camera but there will be plenty more pool days to come with this scorching Vegas heat! We also watched a few hours of war shows including band of brothers which Owen loved for some reason?!!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
God bless our troops!

Get on the Boat!

Last weekend one of Jared's good friends came down with his boat. So, Jared and Owen went boating all day on Lake Mead! It was Owens first time on a boat and he had a blast. Caleb decided he was not ready for boating so we relaxed at home and were able to get a bunch of things done without big brother around.

April 12th Caleb's Blessing

"Owen, can you please stop throwing a fit and let us have a nice family picture today?" Obviously not!
We had an exceptionally busy time this day with both of us speaking at Church and Caleb's blessing which by the way Jared did a terrific job Oh, and it was Easter! Fortunately, Jared's parents were in to town and helped us wrangle the wild ones during church and took Owen on several outings during the week prior to give me a break. It was really nice. I think I need another break now.

April 4th, My Dad's visit.

Owen warmed up surprisingly fast to my Dad and his wife. It usually takes a day or so for Owen to stop screaming "NO" at the relatives when they come to visit and we see my Dad less often because he lives so far away. Owen decided they were cool enough to hang out with almost right away.
My Dad also helped us install our ceiling fans which saved us around 50 to 90 dollars a fan if we had to pay someone! Thanks Dad! Yeah! for ceiling fans in Las Vegas! This weekend we will break 100 degrees.
