Things we like to do in the heat of the summer.
Head up to Mt Charleston for at least 10 degrees cooler temperature. These pics are from a church function where we were treated to yummy food and some fun activities. We also ventured up to the mountain a couple times on our own for some hiking and picnics.
Of course our community pool which we love and spent most of our days cooling off in the water and playing on the slides. We are not looking forward to the pool closing after Labor day weekend.
Back yard sprinkler, always a good time. Owen likes to "make it rain" with the sprinkler. We have not seen much rain at all this summer. The last time it almost rained Owen was so excited to see dark rain clouds in the sky and excitedly went out side begging for it to rain. All day he talked about rain, " its going to rain today", " I hope it rains", "is it raining yet?". NO rain :(
So we just make our own.
For a few weeks here in Vegas it is too hot for the sprinklers or splash pads. So what is a mother to do when the pool is closed and you have TWO hot mad boys? Stick em in the tub and everything is better!
Another fun thing we did this summer is visit the Dairy with our play group. We watched a cute animal show, took a tour and ate free ice cream.

First off...you are one HOT mama!! Look at you miss skinny! Making me miss Vegas too...so many fun things to do there...your neighborhood pool/slides are awesome!...that farm looks like fun too! Can't wait for next month...good times await!! :)

Dang Jen! You look awesome in a swimming suit. Good for you girl! That farm looks like tons of fun. You have tons to do down there don't ya? I am thinking Vegas is lookin' pretty good.
