We had a fun trip to Utah for Thanksgiving. Owen had a great time playing with his cousins and shopping with mom and grandma all weekend. We ate two delicious Thanksgiving dinners and really enjoyed all the time we spent with our friends and family. My sister in law mad this yummy dip that I will have to post later this week. Owen and I are also glad Jared made it back in one piece after playing tackle football and paint ball with his friends. Our nephew who loves penny kept her very busy taking her on walks all around the house. It was busy but so much fun, we are thankful for our families and for all the good food they made us!

Jens Recipe File
Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with an electric mixer. Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan. To make the filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter, and beat together. Next, add the powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mix well. Spread pumpkin mixture over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to overbake as the center should be a little gooey. Serve with fresh whipped cream.
Pumpkin pie is not my favorite but I love this pumpkin dessert from Paula Dean. So Goooood you have to try it! I hope Every on has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Struggling to walk
Owen continues to stumble around the house like a little drunken sailor. A few days ago he was carrying an aluminum bowl and fell right on top of it splitting his chin open. This is the second cut on his little face in 2 weeks!

The longest week ever! I almost threw up
It all began the morning of Nov 1st when Owen got his first shot which he was not to happy about. Later that afternoon Owen fell down and split his head open leading to a freaked out mom and a trip to urgent care. After hours of waiting and being restrained on a mini surf board thing to keep him from moving he ended up with some liquid stitches. One day later Owen woke up puking and pooping his guts out for a whole week! The poor kid was also cutting a new tooth during all of this. One day I thought he was getting better and decided to take a trip to the grocery store. Owen had not puked all day and it was late afternoon. About halfway there he started projectile vomiting all over the place. It was more puke I thought his stomach could hold and the stench was unbearable, I almost threw up! I rolled down all the windows and did everything I could not to join Owen in covering the car with puke. Thank goodness he is all better now!

Happy Halloween
We had so much fun at our friends Halloween Party. Owen the shark lasted way past his bed time and had a great time with all the kids, toys and games.
